Fennec Fox

This little fox is the smallest in the world weighing about two and a half pounds as an adult.  It’s range is from the west coast of North Africa and east to the Sinai Pennisula.  It has a coat, ears, and kidney functions that are adapted to the desert environment.  It is mostly active at night and has keen hearing for what lies beneath.  The Fennec is playful as an adult and highly social.
I only hope that I adapt as well to my new desert environment and have as much fun.  I bet she doesn’t have AC in the den!
